On 7 July 2021 Scott Bastick and Carrie Ann James, directors of SKSi, were appointed joint liquidators of Sunvic Controls Limited.

Sunvic have been manufacturing central heating products in Scotland for over 70 years, during which time they have adopted the latest technology to create advanced control systems including smart Wi-Fi controls, as well as a range of thermostatic valves and ancillary products.

The business could no longer continue to trade due to cash flow issues, which, combined with a lack of supply of raw materials, meant they were unable to complete existing orders. All 21 staff were made redundant on 7 July.

Commenting, Scott Bastick said:

“Unfortunately there was nothing we could do to protect the jobs because of the severe cashflow issue.
